MedaDoc, a rising technology company involved in conversion and integration of EHR system data announces the launch of mMJSuite™, a medical marijuana patient management and intake system that takes advantage of the company's proprietary data moving technology.
Successfully undertaking the most challenging EHR conversions, integrations and interoperability bottlenecks in the medical industry over the last five years, MedaDoc has developed a proprietary technology that allows it to extract, import and move data between any EHR systems. "We've done a lot of typical EHR conversions over the years, but one of our biggest strengths lies in our ability to extract, move and integrate clinical and administrative data in the most challenging environments," says CEO Ilya Aronovich. "And that is our value add in the Medical Marijuana industry," He continues, "Whereas there are a number MMJ patient management systems on the market, what distinguishes us is our ability to integrate our mMJSuite™ with both the provider's EHR and a particular state's Medical Marijuana Registry Database."
MedaDoc explains that there are a great deal of physicians with existing practices that are entering the medical marijuana space, but their EHRs are not designed to manage medical Marijuana-based patient encounters, and, most importantly, the EHRs don't have the ability to share or integrate data with a particular state's Medical Marijuana registry. "As a result, medical practices must engage in double entry of patient information -- once in the state's MMJ Registry and once again in the practice's EHR," says CTO Dov Davidovics. "Our mMJSuite™ obviates the need for double entry by lettings medical providers enter MMJ patient data once in either system, and have it appear in all systems -- that is, in mMJSuite™, the Medical Marijuana Registry and the EHR -- in real time," he continues.
MedaDoc has piloted mMJSuite™ with several practices, and is now making it available to any practice interested in recommending its patients for Medical Marijuana use as per their state's permissible guidelines.

Infertility is an issue for 1 in 6 couples; in about 50% of these cases the infertility is attributable to the male partner. A startling 2017 study outlining the sharp decline in male sperm count over the last 40 years was featured in articles in the NY Times and GQ, garnering worldwide attention and causing panic that we are in the midst of a severe, perhaps irreversible, male infertility crisis.
A promising clinical study presented at the Foundation of Reproductive Medicine annual conference last November showed that a multi-vitamin and antioxidant-based fertility supplement called FH PRO for Men increased sperm count and motility in reproductive aged men by 33% and 122%, respectively. These numbers are giving fertility specialists and their infertile patients hope that reversing the decades long downward trend in sperm health is possible. Until now, little prescriptive guidance has existed to help men improve sperm quality.
In the three-month study,101 men diagnosed with infertility via abnormal semen analysis took FH PRO for Men daily, resulting in statistically significant improvements in all key sperm health parameters. In addition to an increase in sperm count and motility, the study showed a decrease in DNA fragmentation by 20% and an increase in normal morphology of 62%. Researchers also looked at the impact of the antioxidant-based supplement on oxidative stress levels and measured a 44% decrease in oxidation reduction potential, an overall measurement of oxidative stress.
UNDERSTANDING SEMEN ANALYSIS
Male fertility and sperm health go hand in hand, which is why declining sperm counts, along with declining sperm motility, morphology and DNA integrity, are cause for alarm. Lifestyle-related factors including a sedentary lifestyle, poor nutrition, obesity, exposure to environmental toxins, smoking and high amounts of stress are all known contributors.
To some fertility specialists, these promising clinical study results are not all that surprising. Dr. Celia Dominguez, MD, FACOG, a reproductive endocrinologist practicing in Hawaii, has been recommending FH PRO for Men for several years. “I find that in our male factor infertility clients, FH PRO for Men has provided excellent results by improving sperm parameters and it's become part of our standard protocol. The new clinical data has been great to see and just confirms what we have experienced firsthand over the past few years,” said Dr. Dominguez.
FH PRO for Men is a patented non-prescription dietary supplement that includes ingredients well-studied for their role in supporting male fertility, including L-carnitine, CoQ10, Vitamin E, Lycopene, N-Acetyl-l-Cysteine, and Zinc. FH PRO is manufactured in the United States in a GMP-certified facility and is part of the Fairhaven Health family of fertility supplements, a company that has been the industry leader in this space for more than two decades. For Dr. Dominguez, Fairhaven Health’s reputation for producing quality products is key. “I am a huge advocate of complementary and alternative medicines for our reproductive endocrinology and infertility patients. Quality is critical to us in a market where most supplements go unchecked and unregulated,” she said.

Mobile Technologies Inc. (MTI), a global leader in tablet mobility solutions for healthcare, and GBS Corp., a leading information solutions provider, today announced a partnership that offers a simplified technology approach for collecting patient signatures, photos, and scanned ID cards. By utilizing MTI’s Enterprise Tablet Pro™ Tablet Kiosk and GBS’s EasySIGN software, healthcare providers can quickly process patients and ensure that forms and consents are electronically signed and stored in the EHR for safekeeping. “Companies like GBS are changing the way information is captured, tracked, and stored,” said Matt Haroldson, VP International Sales and Marketing for MTI. “Healthcare providers and facilities are moving fast to adopt tablet mobility technologies in areas of patient registration, consent form tracking, and post care instructions. MTI is on the leading edge for tablet kiosk innovations that helps bring all the technologies together.”
In today’s world of hospital - patient relationships, there is much to track, report, and validate for even just a single appointment or visit. With each engagement comes the opportunity to delight or disappoint a patient as well as expose the hospital to increased liability and low satisfaction or compliance scores. “Traditional methods of lengthy forms, confusing pre-visit consent and sign offs result in increased errors, rescheduled appointments, increased costs, and a poor experience for patients,” said Enoch Seward, Senior Account Executive for GBS. “For the best news, our results are impressive and immediate! As an example, a hospital in Tennessee saw an increase in Compliance Scores to 100% within the first 30 days of using the GBS Corp. EasySIGN® solution, which was deployed on the ArmorActive Enterprise Tablet Pro™ Kiosk and RapidDoc™ Kiosk hardware. These hardware devices withstand the rugged healthcare environment by providing a high level of security, tablet detachability, and multiple accessory integration points, including payment processing.”

Celebrity fitness pro and author Jon Douglas Gallo is now offering his famous health and wellness services to New Jersey townships.
Gallo, President of “Now I'm Fit,” created a unique Stretch and Flex Advantage (SAFA) program, which has already helped many corporations promote a safer, healthier, and more productive workplace. Gallo’s motto is “Educate, Inspire, and Transform,” and that’s the overall goal of the SAFA program he now intends to offer to municipalities throughout the region. As he explains, “We have been working with the townships of South Brunswick, North Brunswick, Milltown, and Old Bridge. That gave us an opportunity to refine the program and tailor it specifically to the needs of townships.”
SAFA benefits include improved workplace morale; reduction in injuries and absenteeism; lower health care costs; longer retention of employees, and enhanced attraction for new employee recruitment. SAFA promotes stress reduction, increased flexibility and agility, and overall fitness. Long term results typically include improved cardiovascular health and sleep, weight management, lower blood pressure, less fatigue on the job, and sharper cognition. SAFA provides added protection against diabetes, heart disease, obesity, arthritis, and other chronic and potentially life-threatening conditions.
“The Director of Human Resources and Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Health and Wellness Council for the Township of Old Bridge met with me recently,” Gallo reported. “We discussed the benefits that township employees could derive if SAFA was integrated into the Old Bridge Employee Wellness Initiative program. Township employees protect our health, safety, and wellbeing every day of the year. So we feel obligated to give back to them by making sure that their own lives are longer, healthier, and happier, too.”
Townships and their citizens rely on a healthy workforce to provide essential and critical services, 24/7. A municipal health and wellness program based on the proven effectiveness of SAFA can provide that, at an affordable price point. SAFA may quickly pay for itself through a measurable reduction in financial overhead and potential liability for townships and taxpayers. Enthusiasm for SAFA is growing and now Gallo hopes to implement it statewide, to promote greater health and wellness within New Jersey’s entire public service community. For the past two years Gallo has been a public service volunteer himself, as an active member of the local Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). He also joined the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce two years ago and has been invited to be panelist at the upcoming New Jersey Human Resources Summit. Gallo is a NJ Licensed Medical Massage Therapist and Nationally Certified Personal Trainer with AFAA.

OpsCompass Releases Healthcare Compliance Product for the Microsoft Azure Cloud
Today, OpsCompass, a leading public cloud governance and compliance company, announced new regulatory compliance capabilities for their flagship SaaS product, Helm.
The new functionality comes in the form of a module add-on for Helm that provides deep compliance automation and real-time reporting to Helm’s existing suite of continuous public cloud governance capabilities. Initially supporting HIPAA, with additional regulatory standards coming soon, the Helm compliance module will immediately help the healthcare industry create value in the cloud by providing a complete, turn-key governance and compliance solution so they can focus on the innovative applications.
“This new functionality will allow our healthcare related clients to leverage the power, flexibility and inherent security of the cloud with even greater confidence and ease than was previously available in traditional infrastructure environments,” commented John Grange, Chief Technology Officer for OpsCompass. He continued, “With cloud-native governance, including regulatory compliance and policy controls, organizations can now have visibility into their real-time compliance posture as well as a greatly improved ability to report and audit.”
OpsCompass worked closely with engineers at the Nebraska Applied Research Institute (NARI) and with a grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development. The new Helm module meets the changing demands of HIPAA and other key regulatory standards while allowing clients to leverage robust governance and compliance across Azure and AWS using a single SaaS platform.
“This was a very focused use of resources for a specific outcome. We enjoyed working with this unique combination of expertise, it was a real collaboration of academic, public interest and private sector alignment,” added Ken Hansen, Executive Director of NARI. The joint effort allowed the project to be accelerated, finishing phase 2 ahead of schedule and creating a commercially viable product in far less time that would normally be required.
The compliance module for Helm, and specifically the initial support for HIPAA, allows both public and private organizations to more quickly and confidently build the next generation of innovative, data and AI driven applications that drive better outcomes in healthcare. By leveraging a cloud-native product like Helm, organizations can focus more of creating value through innovative applications knowing that their cloud platform is compliant and governed.
“We currently have the compliance module enabled for existing Helm customers in the healthcare space with excellent results thus far, and we are prepared to release the commercial edition in the next couple of weeks,” commented Scott Griffith, senior vice president of Corporate Development for OpsCompass. He continued, “this is an example of how the flexible, integrated nature of the cloud, lends itself to sensitive workloads that require both cloud scale features and precise controls.”
Helm helps companies take advantage of the cloud more rapidly and provide visibility and control, an important factor in the public cloud’s shared risk model.

Siberian Pine Nut Oil for Postoperative Recovery
Gastrectomy is a surgical procedure to remove a part of an organ that has been affected by pathological processes. The reason for radical treatment may be perforation of the stomach, cancer, ulcers, scarring of tissues and severe obesity. Complicated surgery in 60% of patients causes complications (anastomotic, gastritis, or esophagitis).
“Pine nut oil is known as a powerful agent with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action. It is this natural characteristic of the oil that prompted the specialists to develop a regenerative program capable of speeding up the recovery of patients after resection. The positive aspects of the medicinal properties of the oil in relation to the enhancement of immunity, which affects the biochemical parameters and the work of the gastrointestinal tract, were also revealed,” said managing director Victor Rod - the company's CEO and program development curator.
The use of pine nut oil is not inferior to the therapeutic effect of drug preparations, and in some cases even turns out to be more effective. The properties of pine nut oil are beneficial during the rehabilitation period after the gastric resection for patients with diseases: cancer, esophagitis, gastritis stump, anastomotic and esophageal stenosis. The oil also can be used as a prevention remedy.
The application of pine nut oil in the presence of indications is necessary for an hour before eating food. The frequency of use of natural remedy should not exceed three times a day. A single dose can range from 5 to 15 ml, depending on the existing indications. In case of gastritis and disorder of the functionality of the gastrointestinal tract, in 40 minutes after taking pine nut oil it is recommended to drink half a glass of mineral water.
Observation of patients who underwent gastric resection and applied pine nut oil in the treatment of postoperative complications allowed detecting the ability of pine nut oil to partially or completely relieve inflammation in the affected organ region. The result of the application is the improvement of the gastrointestinal patency, the acceleration of regeneration processes and the restoration of tissue functionality. The advantages of pine nut oil include the absence of contraindications (with the exception of allergy to the substance itself) and side effects.
“Siberian Pine Nut Oil” company specializes in the production of a wide range of pine nut products. Among the product line are pine gum/resin extract, pine nut oil, pine nut flakes and nuts themselves. Specialists in the specialized laboratory work on product development. Pine nuts are obtained in Siberia. The raw material is processed by cold pressing method using wooden presses. Compared with heat treatment method of oil extraction, this method allows you to save all the beneficial properties of pine nuts.

Dr. Kaveh Kanani D.D.S. is the head of Around the Corner Dental Health Spa, the most popular family dentistry clinic in Woodland Hills. This well established general dentist has recently unveiled an inventive method of inserting dental implants.
The goal of dental implants is to replace missing teeth. When a tooth is missing for an extended period of time, the jawbone that used to hold the root of the tooth suffers from moderate to severe bone loss. When this happens, the jawbone is not able to support the implantation of a titanium dental implant as this requires drilling into a significantly eroded and weakened jawbone. The patient will then have to undergo what is known as a block bone graft surgery where he or she is placed under anesthesia and a small piece of bone is removed. The bone is typically taken from the ribs, chin, hip or cadaver. This block of bone will then be placed into the jawbone to create a thicker platform where the dentist can then drill and place the dental implant into.
This is when Dr. Kanani’s method showcases its superiority. Known as the Flap-less/Drill-less Surgery Method, it allows patients to forgo the need to undergo block bone graft surgery. There is no need to drill into the jawbone to place the dental implant as Dr. Kanani uses a series of dental instruments to expand the jawbone until a sufficient pocket has formed. All this is done without losing any bone tissue as Dr. Kanani has figured out a way to condense the outer bone into a thicker wall which creates more support for the implant. He will then place the dental implant into the gap, suture it close and give the patient several months to recover. Once the gap has healed, Dr. Kanani will place a replacement tooth over the implant, giving the patient a perfect set of teeth.
The innovative aspect of this method is that its creator has successfully engineered a way to insert dental implants without the need to drill into the jawbone and cut the gum open. This promises the patient a much shorter healing period, less pain and a less hefty dental bill. When it comes to Dr. Kanani’s method, patients need not undergo block bone graft surgery and this saves them thousands of dollars in dental implant costs.
There is no doubt that Dr. Kanani has significantly transformed the way that dentists and patients alike approach dental implants. The Flap-less/Drill-less Surgery Method is a clever solution to a worldwide problem as it offers patients the chance to recover a full set of teeth again at a fraction of the cost and pain that it is usually associated with.
Currently, Dr. Kanani and his team at Around the Corner Dental Health Spa are inviting new patients into their fold by offering complimentary appointments to first timers. NJ Top Doc, Dr. Kishwar Shareef Included in Apple's Health Records Project
Apple’s latest update to the beloved iPhone includes changes to their Health app. The Health app now allows a growing list of healthcare professionals to share health records directly to their patient’s iPhone. NJ Top Doc, Dr. Kishwar Shareef has recently been added to the list of doctors participating in this beta phase of the Health app. The full list of healthcare institutions participating in this beta program can be found here.
Dr. Shareef’s participation in this beta feature enables her patients to view important data such as immunizations, lab results, medications, and vitals directly inside the Health app of their iPhone. According to a new ONC data brief, 52% of patients were offered access to their medical records in 2017, where as in 2014 only 42% of patients were offered access.
Although access through patient portal technology now allows patients to have an expanded view of their health in a greater capacity, only a few features are being utilized. Perhaps this is because of the standard online browser functionality. According to the data, 84% of patients said they own a smartphone or a tablet. This is great news for Apple and all participating healthcare providers, as now patient’s medical records can be easily accessed in the palm of their hands as opposed to having to attempt to remember a login password on the internet.

Dr. Kanani, a popular dentist in Woodland Hills has unveiled his revolutionary technique of inserting dental implants.
Dr. Kanani’s dedication to oral surgery has encouraged him to design a new method that successfully brings the cost of dental implants down to 9.00. On top of that, his patients have been known to undergo a shorter recovery period and less pain post-surgery as opposed to those who opt to undergo the conventional method. According to this general dentist in Woodland Hills, it is important that patients fully understand the difference between the conventional method and his revised method before a making a decision on which one to undergo.
Dental Implants Explained.
In a nutshell, getting dental implants means that the patient is going through oral surgery to replace missing tooth or multiple teeth. A slim titanium shaft is meticulously implanted into the jawbone and left to set. This shaft is known as the dental implant. Over a period of several months, the surrounding bone and tissue will then grow around the dental implant. This growth will either slow or stop more bone loss from occurring. Only when the dental implant has finally set will the dentist carefully attach the replacement tooth over it.
Conventional Method of Inserting Dental Implants.
The conventional method of inserting dental implants is commonly known as the Flap Procedure. Most family dentists in Woodland Hills are able to perform this procedure. The Flap Procedure encompasses the dentist slicing through the gums and drilling into the jawbone to create a hole. The titanium dental implant will then be inserted into this hole. Sutures will then be done onto the gum to cover the gap and it will be left to heal. According to Dr. Kanani, the healing process varies according to each patient but should take between four to six months to heal. Many patients who choose to go through dental implants already suffer from moderate to severe jawbone reduction. This is because these patients have been living with tooth loss for extended periods of time. In cases such as these, a bone graft surgery has to be done before the dental implants can be inserted. This brings up the dental implants cost as patients have to have a small black of bone removed from another part of the body. This block of bone will then be inserted into the jawbone. The block of bone plays host to a solid base into where the dental implant will be inserted into. Most of the time, it will cost patients over ,000 just to go through the bone graft surgery.
Dr. Kanani’s Method of Inserting Dental Implants.
As the top Woodland Hills dentist, Dr. Kanani has devised a way to eliminate the need for black bone graft surgery. Not only that, he also does without painful cutting and drilling. Termed the Flap-Less/Drill-Less Surgery technique, Dr. Kanani will use a series of dental equipment to expand the jawbone. A small gap will form and he will then insert the titanium dental implant into it into it. Patients of Dr. Kanani’s have attested that they went through short recovery sessions and that their dental implants cost less than expected.
Finding someone who specializes in general dentistry in Woodland Hills is not very difficult. However, one will be hard pressed to find someone as talented as Dr. Kaveh Kanani. Dr. Kanani recommends that patients meet with him to discuss the various oral surgery procedures that they can go through. The good news is that he is offering first-time patients a complimentary consultation, so those who are interested should call (818-579-9899 or visit http://www.woodlandhillsdentalspa.com.

Shady Grove Fertility (SGF), a nationally recognized fertility and IVF center with specialists who work closely with patients from all 50 states and 35 countries around the world, announced today it’s expanding its program for Mandarin-speaking patients and welcoming bilingual physician, Sandy Li, M.D., to the practice. Dr. Li will see Mandarin and English-speaking patients in Rockville, MD and K-Street Washington, D.C. and provide a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options for female and male infertility, elective fertility preservation, fertility preservation prior to cancer treatment, and LGBTQ family building.
Dr. Li has played an instrumental role in helping the practice expand its program for Mandarin-speaking patients by developing a dedicated Mandarin website for domestic patients. This website will provide US-based Mandarin-speaking patients with a resource for understanding the fertility journey and what to expect when receiving fertility care at SGF. An SGF website dedicated to Mandarin-speaking patients traveling to America from abroad is already available, serving the needs of China-based patients who face strict regulation and restrictions around in vitro fertilization (IVF) and more advanced procedures. In addition to high regulation, China faces significant overcrowding in state-run hospitals that are overwhelmed with demand since the country abolished in 2015 its one-child-per-family policy, a population-control measure enacted in 1979.
"Treating infertility continues to be a challenge in China, and the demand for care of patients who speak Mandarin here in the US continues to grow. By providing access to quality care and assembling a Mandarin-speaking patient care team here in the States, we can provide advanced fertility services and a streamlined process to patients traveling locally to our center, from China, or from anywhere around the world," remarks SGF's Chief Operations Officer, Philip Beatson.
“We understand the unique needs of Mandarin-speaking patients and therefore have put a supportive infrastructure in place by way of a U.S.-trained, bilingual medical team who will coordinate all aspects of patient care. Patients benefit from a patient-centric model that addresses the medical, emotional, and financial needs as well as a streamlined process that helps to manage the travel, timing, and logistical details," adds Beatson.
Sandy Li, M.D. earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in biology and biochemistery before earning a Master of Arts in medical science from Boston University and her Doctorate of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Duke University.
Dr. Li has received several academic and clinical honors including the Pfizer/SRI President’s Presenter Award, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Scholarship, and the Charles Hammond Research Fund, and has held various leadership positions as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts Medical Center.
Dr. Li is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has published research on a variety of fertility topics including in vitro fertilization, donor egg treatment, and fresh vs. frozen embryo transfers.
"I am proud to join the SGF physician team and hope to play an influential and encouraging role in guiding our English- and Mandarin-speaking patients through their journey to parenthood. Whether patients are traveling from around the corner or around the world, the commitment of SGF’s professional team to deliver effective, compassionate, individualized care is second to none,” says Dr. Li.
“With more and more international patients seeking treatment in the U.S., as well as domestic patients who travel more locally, the addition of Dr. Li to the practice will eliminate the language barriers some of our patients face when trying to navigate their options for fertility treatment,” says Supervisor of Patient Specialty Services, Amanda Segal.
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Li or any other SGF physician, please call 1-888-761-1967 or submit this brief online form. To learn more about SGF's program for Mandarin-speaking patients, email julie.xu@integramed.com, China Program Patient Navigator or visit ShadyGroveFertility.com.

R3 Stem Cell Performs Seven Complimentary Procedures on Military Veterans
R3 Stem Cell successfully completed regenerative procedures on seven military veterans recently as part of the R3 Heroes Program. The stem cell therapies were performed at no cost to any of the Veterans, who were all nominated by friends and family members.
“As the nation’s leader in regenerative medicine therapies, we feel it’s important to give back to those individuals who have made such a contribution to our freedom. Therefore, we created the R3 Heroes program and accepted Veterans with several types of medical conditions for regenerative therapies. We’ll be doing it every two months!,” said R3 CEO and Founder David Greene, MD, MBA.
Veterans suffering from such conditions as degenerative arthritis, neuropathy, COPD, heart failure and migraines were selected for the regenerative cell therapies. The procedures incorporate growth factors, stem cells, exosomes and other regenerative cells which work in concert with one’s body to help repair damage.
Friends and family nominated the Veterans, who came from all branches of the Military and served in various capacities. While some were local to Las Vegas, others traveled from Florida, North Carolina, Utah, Texas and California. Patients in the Heroes program pay nothing for their procedures, no matter how much of the regenerative biologic is used.
The procedures were performed in conjunction with the R3 Stem Cell Training Course, where providers participate in two full days of lectures and viewing procedures. “We want providers to be able to see our Las Vegas doctors performing real procedures on real Veterans who truly deserve a free procedure. They all have stories that are so emotional and moving, it makes the experience so memorable for all involved.”
Added Dr. Greene, “Over the past five years, our R3 Centers of Excellence nationwide have performed over 10,000 successful procedures. We have not experienced any significant adverse events, and patients’ lives are often changed with the therapies. Cold Laser Therapy Treatments to Become Standardized?
Cold laser therapy has been in existence for several decades, ever since the 1960s. It has had well over 5,000 reports written on it and it is fast becoming another alternative way to treating pain. In fact, the past decade has shown significant improvements in the equipment used to treat patients with this light therapy, but there has never been a way of standardizing this technology to provide consistent relief to patients.
That is until now. Newly formed company, Cold Laser Protocols has been developing protocols over the past few years in order to provide patients with consistent results in treating all kinds of joint and arthritic pain. It has developed a special software package that contains hundreds of different settings which any doctor with access to can utilize and apply to their patients.
So, if a patient came into a practice with a low back problem, the doctor will be prompted by the software to ask certain questions including age, skin type, type of pain and many other variables. These answers are entered into the software and it then calculates a treatment plan to be followed by the doctor and patient, and all the appropriate settings that should be entered into the cold laser equipment. Not only that, the protocols have been developed and can be applied to any manufacturer of cold laser device.
Over time and with more and more doctors signing up to the service, the company aims to further develop and improve patient outcome rates by analyzing all data received by users worldwide. This will be invaluable to all users as before any treatment is made on any patient, doctors will already have an excellent idea of what pain level they can expect to reduce the patient's suffering to and make accurate assessments.
The subscription based service aims to be launched in the early part of 2019 and will make neck and back protocols immediately available. Further extremity levels will be launched as they too are added onto the service.
Dr Coletti says "We are getting very close to the first phase of completion of our software and are eager and excited to launch to doctors in the US and then beyond. We are excited to see patients be able to reduce pain without the need of surgery or opioids."
Scott Coletti DC has been in private practice in Florida since 2000. He Co-founded Cold Laser Protocols®, a software in which he developed to assist other practitioners in growing Cold Laser within their practice. He invites those highly intrigued to visit his site at https://coldlaserprotocols.com/ Dr. Coletti grew this passion when he saw his patients and practice soar, especially when it fell into his lap. He was adamant that he wanted to help other doctors though making it so simple a Kindergartner could follow.

Safe & Effective Treatment of Facial Veins Large or Small - A Guide To Treating Face Veins
‘A Guide To Treating Face Veins,’ by Ronald Bush, MD, FACS, and Peggy Bush, APRN, is the first book dedicated solely to the treatment of facial veins. In the book they explain their vast clinical expertise in this widely misunderstood field of venous disease. Just published, it is essential for all practitioners considering treatment of even the smallest veins of the face.
With emphasis on the complex vascular and communicating venous network of the face, safe and effective methods of treatment are discussed in a step-by-step process and ample guidance is given to help avoid complications.
The majority of larger blue (reticular) veins of the face are resistant to laser applications. Surgical approaches leave bruises for weeks and are unsuccessful in many patients.
Sclerotherapy, in the foamed state properly administered, is the most effective treatment of larger veins and minimal sequalae occur after treatment. As outlined in the book, by controlling the flow and direction of the injected foam sclerosant, facial veins can be treated in a safe manner. In most patients, only one treatment is necessary.
“This concise book should be studied by anyone who treats or desires to treat veins of the face.” Stephen F. Daugherty, MD, FACS, FACPh, RVT, RPhS, Veincare Centers of Tennessee.
“For any clinician considering treating veins of the face this illustrated treatise is an excellent resource for the proper and safe treatment of facial veins.” Joseph Raffeto, MD, West Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Gulf Breeze Recovery on a Common Medication Becoming a Threat for Overdose
Gabapentin, on the market since 1993 and sold under the brand name Neurontin, is a nonopioid medication approved to treat seizure disorders and nerve pain like that commonly associated with shingles. Recently gabapentin has been showing up in a disturbing number of overdose deaths.
In an all too familiar story, a drug initially viewed as safe is being abused and contributing to overdose deaths. Once considered a substance that had little potential for abuse, gabapentin is being recreationally abused with sometimes deadly results. As opioids become harder to access, individuals are using and misusing gabapentin. Doctors, looking for alternatives to prescribe for pain due to stronger regulations on opioids, are prescribing gabapentin for pain but are sometimes unaware of the drug’s abuse potential. Kentucky became the first state to classify gabapentin as a Schedule 5 drug after it was detected in one-third of overdose deaths in 2016. Unlike opioids, no antidote is available for an overdose of gabapentin.
People often mix gabapentin with other drugs, saying that, when used in conjunction with opioids, it will increase their high. Research estimates show that between 15 to 25 percent of opioid abusers also use gabapentin.
In 2004, Warner-Lambert, the company who originally manufactured gabapentin, pled guilty to charges that it promoted gabapentin for multiple unapproved uses. Their aggressive marketing encouraged prescribing gabapentin for migraines, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, and Lou Gehrig’s disease. The company agreed to pay over 0 million to settle those charges.
Pharmacy giant Pfizer purchased Warner-Lambert in 2000 and continues to sell gabapentin under the brand name Neurontin. In a statement, the company says that they recognize the importance of preventing misuse and will work with health officials to monitor safety. In addition to Kentucky’s action of classifying gabapentin as a schedule 5 drug, several states including West Virginia, Minnesota and Ohio use their prescription databases to track gabapentin prescriptions. A federal response, including possible nationwide reclassification of gabapentin, is being suggested by some researchers, but no federal action has been taken at this time.

SameDay Security Created Virtual Caregiver Enters Clinical Trials With G60 Trauma
Virtual Caregiving is set to enter both the healthcare industry and patient home settings. In January 2019, G60 Trauma (G60Trauma.org) will begin testing Addison Care, the world’s first, comprehensive virtual caregiving system to provide real time, 24/7 patient monitoring and care.
Addison Care provides exciting new components to an interactive voice platform to demonstrate an interactive, augmented reality feature tied to visual sensing and connected home devices. Now, not only can you have a two-way conversation with an Electronic Caregiver, but the technology comes alive with an expertly designed augmented reality character named Addison, developed on AWS Sumerian. Addison provides a breakthrough user interface.
What can Addison do? In a clinical setting, Addison can greet a patient, recognized through facial recognition, conduct a verbal health examination, collect vitals, and even direct a comprehensive gait and balance session to determine the probability of a ground level fall in a particular patient. In the residential environment, Addison provides medication reminders, verifies medication consumption, provides medical test reminders, monitors vitals, demonstrates rehabilitation exercises, assesses a patient’s progress, mood, fall risk and responses to escalating conditions and emergencies including contacting responders or caregivers in time of patient need.
How does Addison work? A network of wireless visual sensors, local AI (artificial intelligence)-based processors, interactive tablets, Bluetooth biometric devices and emergency monitoring devices will be setup in a residence. Addison Care will be marketed and supported by a network of nationwide private duty home care providers that will serve as both live caregivers and Addison Care representatives. CEO of SDS, Anthony Dohrmann said, “Our goal is to expand affordable population health care to the masses, while lightening the burden on providers and payers. We are delivering an exciting new form of technology to patients and the active aging to improve their quality of life and health outcomes.” Addison will be making its debut at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show January 8-11, 2019, Booth: Sands Convention Center Halls A-D – 42142.
Why partner with G60 Trauma Organization? Dr. Alicia Mangram, founder of G60 Trauma in Phoenix, Arizona, is a surgeon and acclaimed trauma specialist who has devoted her career to improving trauma care through advocacy, surgical and critical care research, education and community services. G60 Trauma is a specialized care program designed for trauma patients over the age of 60, with the goal of optimizing their recovery and safely discharging them back to their homes. This partnership will allow us to study hundreds of patients who have had a ground level fall and provide us with the data and information we need to continue producing products and services geared toward prevention and superior outcomes.
With an expert research team of professionals behind hundreds of successful research publications and processes, G60 Trauma team will be conducting an expansive study involving over 500 patients to document the effectiveness of Addison Care and Electronic Caregiver on improving patient outcomes, increasing patient and family satisfaction, reducing hospital readmission and reducing mortalities. Also, improving treatment adherence with the hope of validating a more effective, outcome based, continuum of care capable of reducing the long-term pressures and costs associated with long-term care and chronic disease management.
“The costs of treatment non-adherence have been reported to be as high as 0B annually and is noted as being responsible for 50% of all treatment failures. In a period of nursing and physician shortages, where home care is inadequate in frequency partly due to high cost, our hope is that Addison Care and Electronic Caregiver can fill the gap in patient care and bring better outcomes to the masses,” Dr. Alicia Mangram stated.

About G60Trauma.org
G60 is a specialized trauma care program developed by Dr. Alicia Mangram. Since 2009, Dr. Mangram has devoted her career to improving trauma care through advocacy, surgical and critical care research, education and community services. In the beginning of her career, she quickly realized that a traumatic injury in patients 60 years and older could occur from a simple fall resulting in a hip fracture. The traditional approach was to admit them to a medical facility and await medical clearance for pre-existing conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, etc. prior to any surgery.
While patients waited for medical clearance, other medical related complications could develop. Recognizing the cause of these complications lead to a paradigm shift and implementing an aggressive care approach for our G60 population. Through evidence-based research, Dr. Mangram and her team developed a care plan to address the needs of G60 trauma patients. These care plans achieved several goals, such as: Expedited early identification in the ER, admission to trauma service, alternative pain management modalities, for example, hip block, multidisciplinary care rounds with integration of the Biopsychosocial Model, evaluation of care approach through research and data analysis, achievement of optimal level of functioning and independence upon discharge.

Top Woodland Hills Dentist Unveils Revolutionary Method of Combating Tooth Loss
Dr. Kanani is well known as one of the most popular family dentists in Woodland Hills and one of the top reasons for this is because he has engineered a revolutionary way to permanently solve the problem of tooth loss.
All patients have to do is to undergo dental implants and they never have to worry about suffering from missing teeth again. According to an article published on 1 June 2013 on Nature World News, “3.9 billion people suffer from dental problems” (http://www.natureworldnews.com/articles/2220/20130601/3-9-billion-people-suffer-dental-problems-report.htm). The article goes on to say that "tooth loss is often the final result when preventive or conservative treatments for tooth decay or gum disease fail or are unavailable.”
According to Dr. Kanani the statistics clearly speak for themselves. Bad oral health is rampant throughout the world and the United States is no exception. According to this general doctor in Woodland Hills, there are certain oral surgery methods that can be taken to combat tooth loss, one of which is getting dental implants. Here is some information on undergoing dental implants with Dr. Kanani.
What Are Dental Implants?
Commonly known as the long term solution to tooth loss, a dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed into the patient’s jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. According to Dr. Kanani, the ideal candidate for a dental implant should be in good general and oral health. However, some patients who have been living with missing teeth for extended periods of time suffer from moderate to severe bone loss. This means that they have to undergo block bone graft surgery before getting dental implants. A small block of bone will be removed from another part of the body, typically from the ribs, and placed into the jaw to form a solid base into where the titanium dental implant is placed.
Dental Implants With Dr. Kanani
Dr. Kanani has designed a brilliant technique of inserting dental implants without requiring the patient to undergo block bone graft surgery. This reduces the total dental implants cost by up to ,000. The significantly reduced rate gives many patients the opportunity to afford this expensive and lengthy procedure. Dr. Kanani’s new method is called the Flap-Less/Drill-Less Surgery method. This family dentist in Woodland Hills will use a series of dental instruments to expand the jawbone. The dental implant will be placed into the gap that is formed. As opposed to conventional methods of getting dental implants, Dr. Kanani’s way does not involve cutting and drilling, thus significantly reducing his patients’ healing time. Not only that, patients who choose to undergo oral surgery with Dr. Kanani will be treated to some of the finest dental equipment and staff in the country.
Dr. Kanani is offering a complimentary consultation for first time patients. Additionally in line with Mother’s Day, he is also offering dental implants starting from the very affordable rate of 9.00. Make an appointment with this Woodland Hills dentist by calling (818) 579-9899 or heading to http://www.woodlandhillsdentalspa.com.

Dr. Kaveh Kanani D.D.S. is the head of Kanani Dental Group, the most popular family dentistry clinic in Woodland Hills.
Kanani and his team at Kanani Dental Group are inviting new patients into their fold by offering complimentary appointments to first timers. Aeroflow Healthcare, a leading durable medical equipment (DME) provider and Inc. 5000 fastest growing company, today announced the acquisition of Wheelock Home Medical's continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) resupply program. This line of business ensures much-needed medical devices are replaced regularly to fully adhere to patients’ sleep apnea treatment.
Over time, CPAP supplies can deteriorate as oil from patients’ skin can cause CPAP masks and other parts to break down, allowing air to leak. As a result, patients are unable to receive their prescribed air pressure for effective treatment and need replacements. In older CPAP supplies, harmful pathogens, mold, and allergens can collect, making regular replacements crucial for overall health.
The acquisition of Wheelock Home Medical’s program allows CPAP resupply patients in Michigan access to Aeroflow’s advanced resupply process, providing patients with new, sanitized equipment based on their individual replacement schedules. Wheelock Home Medical has planned the transition of care for these patients as a function of closing its business.
“By acquiring Wheelock Home Medical’s CPAP resupply line, Aeroflow expands its geographic reach and is now better equipped to continue its ongoing mission of improving patients’ quality of life,” said Andrew Amoth, Corporate Development Associate, Aeroflow Healthcare. “The transition of Wheelock’s patient base was executed in a very patient-friendly manner, and Aeroflow will ensure the patients are provided with the service and attention required to support their sleep therapy.”
In order to provide more patients with exceptional care, Aeroflow will continue to expand via mergers and acquisitions with a strategy mutually beneficial to Aeroflow and the companies and lines of business it acquires. Most importantly, smaller businesses will receive resources to improve care for future and existing patients.
About Aeroflow Healthcare

Two Frogs Healing Center, a natural treatment clinic for getting rid of persistent tick infections like Lyme disease, will be hosting the Getting Rid of Lyme Disease Issues with Liposomes Evening Lecture on Wednesday December 5th from 6pm - 9pm at the Frederick Innovative Technology Center Inc. (FITCI)
Lyme Disease is the number one vector borne illness in the US and in the US armed forces. Lyme Disease bacteria have developed multiple methods to become resistant to antibiotic treatment. Despite taking antibiotics or other remedies for months or years, these patients diagnosed with Lyme disease continue report relapsing symptoms of fatigue, brain fog, inflammation. Fortunately, research has shown that specific essential oils are more effective at killing persistent forms of Lyme disease in lab studies. Delivering these oils in microparticle remedies called "liposomes" are having promising clinical results in reducing neurological Lyme disease symptoms. Due to their tiny particle size, liposomal remedies are able to penetrate deeper into the brain, inside cells, and under biofilms where pathogens like to hide. At the recent International Lyme Disease and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) 2018 Conference, liposomal essential oils were identified as one of the remedies that were helping Dr. Horowitz's chronic Lyme patients to recover more quickly. For over eight years, liposomal essential oils have been more effective at significantly reducing neurological and toxic symptoms in our patients diagnosed with Lyme disease.
At our clinic, we have successfully treated hundreds of patients diagnosed with Lyme disease and multiple tick borne co-infections. At the "Reducing Lyme Disease Pain by 75%+ with Liposomes" lecture we'll also be sharing how innovative treatments like electrical frequency scans help to identify the real underlying issues, enhance the effectiveness of treatments and remedies for each person.
"Liposomal essential oil remedies have the unique ability to penetrate into the brain, cells, and through biofilms to relieve pain and toxins from Lyme disease and co-infections," - Greg Lee, President Two Frogs Healing Center. He will be sharing about the huge improvements that patients have received through liposomes and other treatments at the "Reducing Lyme Disease Pain by 75%+ with Liposomes" talk on Wednesday December 5th.
About the Two Frogs Healing Center
The Two Frogs Healing Center has been a provider of natural microparticle "liposome" remedies and treatments for helping patients to stop their persistent infections including Lyme disease, viruses, mold, bacteria, and parasites. Using advanced electrical scanning technology, The Two Frogs Healing Center is able to identify the signatures of underlying pathogens that are causing relapsing symptoms.
Two Frogs also produces targeted, customized microparticle remedies to address multiple chronic infections, toxins, and painful symptoms. Its treatments and remedies encompass Frequency Specific Microcurrent, cold laser, acupuncture, cupping and bloodletting, craniosacral therapy, targeted Liposomal remedies, essential oils, homeopathic remedies, antimicrobial herbs, and detoxification supplements. LiveWall Living Walls Enliven the Healing Landscape at HOPE Tower
Hackensack Meridian Health Jersey Shore University Medical Center includes two LiveWall® Living Walls in the landscaping of the HOPE Tower. Hope Tower is the new 5 million, 300,000-square-foot outpatient care facility on the east campus of Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J. The two green walls, totaling 514 square feet, were installed with the LiveWall® Outdoor Living Wall System, the green industry’s most sustainable, durable and low-maintenance living wall system.
“Guided by a patient-centered approach to care, and understanding that a sense of well-being and peace of mind are essential to healing, we set out to create an environment for holistic care that is beautiful, welcoming, accessible, and convenient,” said Kenneth N. Sable, M.D., MBA, FACEP, regional president, southern market, Hackensack Meridian Health. “From thinking about how patients and their families enter the building and what they see as they do, to selecting colors and materials, to designing the process of care and clinical workflow – every decision we made in the design of HOPE Tower was to enhance the patient experience and promote healing.”
“The green walls are essential,” said Drew Smithson, chief operating officer, Jersey Shore University Medical Center. “They transform highly visible exterior walls, which would be otherwise unremarkable, into vertical gardens that are an integrated part of the whole landscape.”
The two living walls each measure 22 feet 8 inches wide x 11 feet 3 and 3/8 inches high. Everyone who enters HOPE Tower from the parking garage walks along a corridor with floor to ceiling windows and sees the ground level green wall in a garden courtyard that is being established with a green roof. The living wall partially covers the exterior wall of a linear accelerator (technology used in precise radiation treatment of cancers). Rather than the cold, institutional feeling of a blank, gray wall, patients, their families and visitors are invited into HOPE Tower with a welcoming, calming view of sun-splashed greenery.
Plants are getting established on the other green wall, which is taking shape as part of the green roof landscape on the outdoor terrace that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean on the tenth floor. The green wall will soften the appearance of the exterior red brick wall. With the green wall, all four directions on the terrace will have visual interest and appeal.
“By extending the landscape up the sides of the structural walls, the green walls complement the landscape design and bring a vertical element to the spaces that make the landscapes more complete,” said Chris Cirrotti, vice president and principal in charge, Dewberry, the exterior civil engineering and landscape architecture firm for the HOPE Tower project.

Dr Ashish Dutta - Everything One Need to Know About The Non-Surgical Butt Enhancement Treatment
If you are also curious about this procedure and wish to give it a try but are confused and unsure, we've got you covered. Here's all you need to know about the non-surgical butt enhancement procedure so you can make a decision is this treatment is right for you and proceed with confidence.
Dr Ash Dutta, Founder of Aesthetic Beauty Centre and one of the few highly trained and accredited surgeons in the UK will take us through the Non-Surgical Bum enhancement treatment.
What is a non-surgical bum enhancement procedure?
A non-surgical bum enhancement procedure essentially involves adding volume to the butt area to enlarge, as well as add definition and shape. The procedure also helps in boosting skin elasticity and lifting sagging buttocks and thighs back into their rightful place.
How does the non-surgical bum enhancement procedure work?
As the name suggests, the treatment does not involve surgery. Unlike the traditional enhancement or enlargement surgeries that extract fat from other parts of the body to place it in the desired area, or the use of implants, the non-surgical butt enhancement procedure aims to add volume to the butt area using dermal fillers. You may have seen many celebrities including Nicki Minaj and Beyonce who are flaunting fuller butts in style.
Why should one opt for a non-surgical procedure?
The greatest benefit of opting for a non-surgical procedure is the fact that there is reduced downtime and less tissue trauma involved. Also the fact that there is no scarring makes it the ideal treatment to go for. There is also a very much reduced risk of infection and complications.
How is the non-surgical procedure better than the traditional surgery?
Injections of dermal fillers make it possible to create subtle changes in the process of reshaping the butt which is not necessarily possible in the traditional surgery. This helps create a nicely shaped butt instead of only a larger butt. The traditional surgery involves addition of volume to the area but tends to make the skin around the area saggy, droopy, spongy and loose. The non-surgical butt lift procedure involves addition of a significant amount of volume in the area as well as tightening and lifting the skin with the use of advanced technology. This leads to a well shaped, well-toned butt.
Another fascinating feature available in the non-surgical treatment is the controlled amount of volume addition. One can look mid-way into the treatment as to whether the desired volume has been attained and if not, one can go ahead with adding more. This is not possible in the traditional surgical method as you are likely to be under sedation or general anesthesia so cannot contribute to the outcome once the surgery has begun.
Who is it suitable for?
Anyone who wishes to enhance or enlarge their butt area, over the age of 18. It is a great alternative for anyone who does not enough fat to harvest for the Brazilian Butt lift (from other parts of their body) and/or are not keen on liposuction.
How long does the procedure take and what is the downtime involved?
The duration of the procedure and the number of sittings required will vary slightly in each case. At the consultation you’ll receive a tailored treatment plan, after an examination. As a rough guide: treatments can take about 45-60 minutes.
As for the downtime, there is a very short to no downtime involved depending on the requirements and the kind of procedure one has opted for. There can be a little tenderness and swelling in the area for around 5-7 days.
Are there any risks of deformities?
The surgical method including liposuction and fat transfer involves a risk of deformities since fat is extracted out of the body and placed inside another part of the body, so there is a slight chance that it does not ‘take’ well, or there may be unevenness and asymmetry; and hence a corrective procedure may be required. The non-surgical butt enhancement however, is different. It does not include any risks of deformities.
Are there any side-effects involved?
The non-surgical treatment is a relatively safe treatment to go for but one must always book an appointment with a professional to assess one’s individual case. Most Drivers Don't Wear Their Seatbelts Correctly
How many of us ‘wear’ our seat belts properly?
As RoSPA state, seat belts should ‘be worn as tight as possible with no slack’ and ‘the lap belt should go over the pelvic region, not the stomach’. It is well documented that although the crash test dummies are in this perfect sitting position when new cars get tested by NCAP/EuroNCAP, this is not the position most of the world’s 900 million vehicle drivers are in during normal driving.
As EuroNCAP state “Occupant positioning is critical to effective protection during a collision: systems such as seatbelts and airbags do not work as effectively if the occupants are displaced from the expected sitting positions before the impact.”
Although seat belts are proven to reduce injury and save lives, after just a few miles we slip down just an inch or two and our pelvis rotates and this leads to the lap belt riding up off the pelvis onto the stomach, compromising the seatbelt safety. Any collision in this position leads to a very different outcome compared to the EuroNCAP tests. At lower impact speeds the seat belt can cause bruising but at higher speeds internal bleeding and even ‘submarining’ can occur, where the occupant slips under the seat belt. Ask any first-on-the-scene paramedic. A head on collision of 2 cars travelling more than 30mph leads to a 60mph impact. The seat belt works optimally when firmly across the hips to take the huge force on the strong pelvic bone, but if there is slack in the lap belt section, as happens commonly, the damage to the occupants can be fatal.
SHOFT is a new patented product that goes a long way to solving this problem, and it’s so simple.
We all want to sit in the safest position and although most of us start off in a healthy upright position with slack removed, gravity takes its toll after just a few miles and we tend to slip down and forwards slightly into a ‘slouch’ position. We often see drivers sit back up at traffic lights and even give the seat belt a tug upwards to remove the slack again, only for the process to happen again a few miles down the road.
The stark fact is that any slack in the lap belt or misplacement of the seat belt will compromise the effectiveness of the safety devices fitted to the car, such as airbags, knee protection and the seat belt as they are all designed and tested with the occupant sitting upright with seat belt across the hips and with no slack.
Now there is a simple solution.
SHOFTTM is a small palm-sized product designed to keep the slack out of the seat belt. After a 2 second install adding a SHOFT to the seat belt provides it with extra functionality by turning it into an ‘anti-slouch’ device. By keeping out the usual slack that creeps into our seatbelts, SHOFT helps to keep both driver and passengers in a better and potentially safer seated position. And with our poor posture in cars being identified as a major cause of back pain, SHOFT also helps to solve a problem that nearly all of us will have to deal with.
The innovative simple design invented by Dr Graham Cox and his father Ronald, is made from a specially designed soft material that fits by slipping over the top of your car seat belt tongue (that’s the bit you grab every time you buckle up).
How does it work?
SHOFT has a specifically designed built in ‘brake pad’ made of a secret formula called GRIPteneTM, that engages the seat belt webbing across the lap portion when you buckle up and this helps to resist slack creeping into the lapbelt. SHOFT only affects the lap section of the seat belt, so the occupant can lean forwards in the seat to reach dials as normal.
Adding SHOFT to your vehicle can help you comply with RoSPA guidelines and will help ensure your seat belt is optimally positioned every mile of your trip. For more infomration visit us at www.shoft.co.uk.
